Server Rules


1.) No Griefing
We define "Griefing" as the purposeful destruction or obstruction of another person's work without their expressly given permission.  Don't break other people's stuff.  That's not cool!
Breaking this rule will result in a ban.

2.) Be Respectful
In conduct with other people on the server, try not to be insulting or rude.  We aren't going to ban the use of any words or phrases, but we ask that you don't insult or actively try to offend other users.  Allow others to have the welcoming experience that we strive to give you!
Breaking this rule will result in a warning. Excessive breaking of this rule (up to the discretion of staff) will result in a temporary ban. Excessive breaking beyond the first temporary ban will result in a ban.

3.) Hacked/Modified Clients or Mods are Prohibited
This rule applies to any sort of client mod that significantly alters the gameplay experience.  At Cobbleton, we want to make a server where everyone is given the same chances.  Think about it, is cheating really fun?
Breaking this rule will result in a ban.


4.) No Spamming
"Spamming" is the action of quickly filling chat with a burst of typed messages.  It is generally at the discretion of the staff as to what is considered spam.
Breaking this rule to a minor degree (only a few lines or for a very short time) will result in a warning. Breaking this rule beyond the first warning or to an excessive degree will result in a kick.  Breaking this rule beyond the kick or to an extremely excessive degree will result in a temporary ban. Combining spamming with the breaking of another rule (advertisement, extremely explicit/profane speech, etc) or continuously spamming to an extremely excessive degree will result in a ban.


5.) No Advertising
It's okay to want to play on another server, and we understand entirely if Cobbleton doesn't work out for you.  That said, there are plenty of forums, websites, and subreddits to advertise.  Cobbleton is not the place.
Breaking this rule once will result in a warning.  Breaking it more than once will result in a temporary ban.  Further breaking of this rule will result in a ban.


6.) Keep the Server Neat
Everyone has their own style of building, and we encourage and are excited to see the different ways people play.  That said, we ask that non-aesthetic and impractical obstructions (such as 1x1 towers and tunnels and non-aesthetic floating trees) be kept out of the main world, so that we may promote a better playing environment.
Breaking this rule will result in a warning. Continuing to break this rule following a second or third warning will result in a temporary ban.  Excessive breaking of this rule will result in a ban.


Forum Rules
1.) Be Respectful
This follows the general idea of the rule of the same name in the Server Rules list.  Don't purposefully insult or make an effort to offend other users.
Breaking this rule will result in a warning.  Excessive breaking will result in a temporary ban.  Further breaking will result in a ban.


2.) Follow Basic Forum Etiquette
Try not to double post.  Make an effort to keep posting on-topic.
Breaking this rule will result in a warning.  Excessive breaking will result in a temporary ban.  Further breaking will result in a ban.
