Elevators! (Lift plugin)
NOTE: The pictures were having troubles, so if they do not appear, that means that they are just glitching. Also, I had a a issue with it cutting off parts of the images, so here are the links for pics:

So I found out how to use the lift plugin, so I thought I would share just incase you guys are wondering how to . To start off on your first floor, you place a Iron block where you would like to stand while in the elevator. Then, you place a button two blocks above the iron block and place a blank sign above the button. (So, there should be a iron block smooth in the floor, above would be a block with nothing on it, one above that should be a button, and one above that should be a blank sign.) This will conclude your "lobby".
Now, for the second floor you go to where you would place the iron block in the floor to make another "lobby", but don't place an iron block. Instead, you dig out that block so it will just be air. Then you do the same thing with the sign and button as on the first floor. (So, there should be a empty space where the iron block went on the first floor, one above that is a blank block, above that a button, and above that a sign.) Note that in the second pic there is a glass block, but when you are making your elevator, leave it as a air block. The glass will be auto placed after.
Then for the next floors, you do the same thing as on the second floor with every floor above, making sure that the block flush to the floor is blank.
If you did it correct then you start at the bottom sign and right click it. then, go to the next floor up and right click that sign. You'll notice that it fills in the sign saying what floor you're on, and what floor it will bring you to if you click the button. To change the floor that it will bring you to, right click the sign. It will cycle through all the numbers of floors and you can stop when you find the floor you want to get to. And also, if you want it to work you must be standing on the iron block. Also, if you don't like the way that the glass block or iron blocks look with your build, you can place carpet ontop. (Thanks to MoMoe0 for that bit of info about the carpets.)
I hope this helped, and now you can save all that wood it takes for ladders and stairs. Happy crafting!

Re: Elevators! (Lift plugin)
Awesome tutorial! My only suggestion is to go back and reread some of the text, seems to be worded a little confusing. Also, if you don't like the look of the glass or the iron block, you can place a carpet block on top of them. Thanks!
EDIT: Moved the thread to the plugin tutorial section.

Re: Elevators! (Lift plugin)
I am having trouble with the lift I Got it working then I placed a protection around it now it doesn't work.
Re: Elevators! (Lift plugin)
Huh, I checked out your property and I tried to fix it but nothing worked. I then tried to replicate the error but I couldn't. My only advice would be to use /abandonclaim (Make sure you STAND in the claim) and try to reclaim it again/fix the elevator. If that doesn't work, let me know.
